CoRe has a dynamic approach grounded in participatory dialogue and adaptive learning which helps to uncover key governance innovations, obstacles, and opportunities. As part of the CoRe team focused on our partnerships in India, I can support integrating the indigenous knowledge and insights of people who are currently left behind during policy formulation and help to shape what development looks like on the ground.

Sana has over five years of experience in the water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) sector managing urban, peri-urban and rural water, sanitation, and hygiene programmes in India and Bangladesh, with a focus on implementing effective monitoring, evaluation and learning systems. She has extensive field experience including in the Indian states of Bihar, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Earlier, she has served as the State Coordinator with Tata Trusts and later as WASH Specialist with the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Government of India, based in New Delhi. She has published papers in several international journals, and recently co-authored a chapter on the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Bangalore as part of the book Successful Innovation Systems (Springer). Sana holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences from Nalanda International University, a Diploma in Climate Change from the National University of Singapore and a B.Sc. in Zoology from the University of Calcutta. Sana is also an Atlas Corps Scholar with the Atlas Corps Global Leadership Lab, and a self-described “music fanatic.”
